First GROReG Session

On 14 November 2014 we held the very first session of the GRONEN Reading Group (GROReG) hosted by the School of Business and Management of Queen Mary University of London. By launching GROReG we hoped to offer a platform to discuss papers at the revise & resubmit stage with high quality journals. At this first session we discussed three papers that have been invited for revisions with the following journals:

The session provided a constructive space for discussing reviewer comments. The success of this session encouraged us to continue with this workshop format.

Two of the papers we discussed at this session were published in the meantime, one in the targeted journal, the other in a different journal.

KEDGE Business School Marseille

Second GROReG Session

On 6 February 2015 we held the second session of the GRONEN Reading Group (GROReG) hosted by KEDGE Business School Marseille. GROReG sessions offer a platform to discuss papers at the revise & resubmit stage with high quality journals. At the second session we discussed three papers that have been invited for revisions with the following journals:

  • Academy of Management Review
  • Journal of Business Venturing (go to published paper)
  • Academy of Management Journal

The session provided a constructive space for discussing reviewer comments in order to help authors to find ways how to deal with these.

Rotterdam School of Management

Third GROReG Session

The third session of the GRONEN Reading Group (GROReG) was hosted by the Rotterdam School of Management at the Erasmus University Rotterdam on 24 April 2015. With this sessions we completed the first cycle of three sessions per academic year. At the third session we discussed three papers that have been invited for revisions with the following journals:

Two of the three papers presented in this session have been published in the targeted journals in the meantime.

KEDGE Business School Paris

Fourth GROReG Session

With the fourth session the GRONEN Reading Group (GROReG) series entered into its second academic year. The session was hosted by KEDGE Business School Paris on 25 September 2015. Like with previous sessions we discussed three papers at the revise & resubmit stage with high quality journals. At the fourth session we discussed three papers that have been invited for revisions with the following journals:

  • Organization Science
  • Academy of Management Discoveries (go to published paper)
  • Academy of Management Review

One of the papers discussed at this session has been published in the targeted journal in the meantime.

Bocconi University Milan

Fifth GROReG Session

The fifth session of the GRONEN Reading Group (GROReG) was hosted by the Center for Research on Innovation, Organization and Strategy (CRIOS) at Bocconi University Milan on 29 January 2016. One of the papers dropped out at short notice, which is why we discussed two papers that have been invited for revisions with the following journals:

Sixth GROReG Session

We held the sixth session of the GRONEN Reading Group (GROReG) on 17 June 2016. It was hosted by the School of Business and Management of Queen Mary University of London. With this session the GROReG series had gone through its second academic year, and the format was highly valued by the various participants. At the sixth session we discussed three papers that have been invited for revisions with the following journals:

Seventh GROReG Session

We entered into the third academic year of the GRONEN Reading Group (GROReG) series with a session on 28 October 2016 that was hosted by the Group for Sustainability and Technology at the ETH Zurich. Eighth GROReG Session

The eighth session of the GRONEN Reading Group (GROReG) was hosted by the Alliance Manchester Business School at the University of Manchester on 10 February 2017. The participants benefited from the feedback of the group and the constructive atmosphere at the session. At this session we discussed three papers that were with the following journals:

Ninth GROReG Session

The ninth session of the GRONEN Reading Group (GROReG) was held on 23 June 2017 hosted by the Warwick Business School at the University of Warwick. In the meantime the format of the reading group has been well established and is highly appreciated by the participants. Tenth GROReG Session

The session held on 20 October 2017 at the University of Hamburg (Germany), hosted by the Chair “Management & Sustainability” marked the 10th edition of the GRONEN Reading Group (GROReG). We are proud and happy about the success of this reading group series and grateful to the institutions who hosted us and to all the participants that made these sessions so successful.
