OUR HOST

Amsterdam Business School (ABS) is a triple-crown accredited school which aims to stimulate an entrepreneurial and innovative attitude and to develop a responsible, sustainable and analytic mindset in faculty and students alike.  Around 60 ABS scholars focus on a broad range of topics related to ethics, responsibility and sustainability, and these themes have been an integral part of the strategy and programs of the school since its creation. The school is a signatory and active member of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRMI) and affiliated with several initiatives such as the Global Reporting Initiative and the Network of Business Sustainability. It further promotes sustainability research through the small grants and events platform, A Sustainable Future (ASF). More information on ethics, responsibility, and sustainability programs, initiatives and ABS researchers active in these areas can be found here.

ABS is part of the University of Amsterdam, which is a globally leading interdisciplinary university founded in 1632. With over 41,000 students, it is the largest university in the Netherlands. Within the university, ABS is part of the Faculty of Economics and Business, which celebrates its 100th year anniversary in 2022. A short history of the faculty, covering developments across five generations of professors over the course of a century is available here.
